CIHR Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research
This is the official website for the Canadian Institutes for Health Research regarding the important initiatives in the Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research (SPOR). Patient-oriented research is about engaging patients, their caregivers, and families as partners in the research process. This engagement helps to ensure that studies focus on patient-identified priorities, which ultimately leads to better patient outcomes. Our network is supported through the CIHR SPOR funding.

SPIDER Deprescribing
SPIDER, a Structured Process Informed by Data, Evidence and Research, aims to leverage the collaboration between QI and research to help primary care providers deprescribe for their complex older patients who are on 10 or more prescription medications.
