Summary

This Learning Session offers an opportunity to meet Expériences, a self-managed Francophone community of patient partners, founded in Quebec and committed to advancing health partnership in Quebec and beyond.

Embedded within the Quebec SPOR Support Unit, Expériences now brings together more than 3,000 individuals interested in health partnership.

Expériences stands out for a unique feature in Quebec—and a rare one within Canada’s research and healthcare ecosystem: the community is led and self-managed by health partners. Its direction, priorities, and activities are driven and shaped by patient partners. This embodied governance serves as a powerful lever to ensure the relevance, authenticity, and credibility of its actions.

In the Canadian context, marked by linguistic and cultural diversity, Expériences contributes to promoting a Francophone perspective on health partnership, while also seeking to build bridges with Francophone communities across the country.

Objectives

  • Raise awareness of the unique model of Expériences, a self-managed Francophone community led by health partners in Quebec.
  • Foster connections and collaborations among Francophone communities and health partnership stakeholders across Canada.
