Dear Members,

We hope you enjoyed a restful summer, and that this new academic year is off to a good start. As for everyone, ours is incredibly busy as we gear up to our Primary Care Learning Cycle in Quebec City in November and coordinate a number of pan-Canadian initiatives.

We have welcomed two new Patient Partners to our Patient Council. Judy Porter is a photographer and graphic designer from Novia Scotia. As a patient, caregiver, and longtime Patient Family Advisor for NS Health, she brings a wealth of experience and passion to the table. Jamie Jensen spent thirty-nine years working in administration for a family practice at Sunnybrook Hospital and more recently as a research project coordinator at the CFPC before retiring in Bracebridge, Ontario. She has had a front row seat, both professionally and personally, to the Primary Health Care system. We are thrilled to have them both join our incredibly dedicated and active Patient Council.

We are very sad to announce that Grailing Anthonisen, our Communications Manager, has resigned to pursue graduate studies in library sciences at McGill. Jennifer Lawson, our Primary Care Information Systems Manager, has also moved on to join CIHI, working in Primary Health Care data content standards, code systems and architecture. They will both be sorely missed. We wish them well.

Finally, we wanted to take a moment to share two short video vignettes which were created by one of our TUTOR PHC Fellows last year, Catherine George, in collaboration with Grailing Anthonisen and our Patient Council. They highlight our Network Objectives in an engaging way in both English and French. Please do check them out and share them.

Finally, be sure to forward this newsletter to anyone you think might be interested, or if this has been forwarded to you, please follow this link to sign up for our newsletter and become a member.

Wishing you a wonderful fall season,

—The CPCRN Team
