Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to invite expressions of interest for Director positions on the Governance Board of the Canadian Primary Care Research Consortium (CPCRC). As our consortium enters an exciting phase—transitioning to a full Board of Directors beginning January 1, 2026—we are looking for passionate, committed leaders to help shape the future of primary care research across Canada and beyond.

What Will You Contribute?

As a Board Director, you will be part of a dynamic, collaborative team guiding strategy, stewardship, and advocacy for the Consortium. Your leadership will directly impact our mission to advance innovation, translate evidence into practice, and improve patient outcomes for communities nationwide.

Term Options & Time Commitment

  • Please indicate whether you are applying for a 2-year or 3-year term.
  • Directors will participate in four Board meetings each year, with at least two meetings held in person (each in person meeting is typically two days or one-and-a-half days). The other two Board meetings will be held twice a year and will be virtual.
  • This is a voluntary role for at least the first year, and you will need to self-finance your travels and attendance at these in-person meetings. This may change after 2026 depending on funding available.

Who Should Apply?

We welcome applications from those with diverse backgrounds in finance, governance, succession planning, research, scientific innovation, stakeholder engagement, patient partnership, or knowledge translation. Experience as a Steering Committee member or Chair in an organization is especially valued. Our ideal candidates demonstrate commitment to advancing primary care research, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and collaborative approaches in multi-interest holder environments.

How to Apply

Please submit an Expression of Interest letter answering these questions:

  • Why are you interested in a Director’s role on the CPCRC Board?
  • What skills do you bring to the Board?
  • What experience do you have as a Steering Committee member or Chair in another organization, which could benefit CPCRC?

Please submit your Resume and Expression of Interest by Wednesday, November 26th, 2025, to the following email: recruit@cpcrc-ccrsp.ca.

Join us in continuing to promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and impact in Canadian primary care research. If you are inspired by the possibility of making a difference—and being part of a national primary care research movement—your contributions will help us thrive.

We look forward to receiving your application and learning how your unique expertise and values align with our Consortium’s vision!
