Summary
Canadian Primary Care Research and Learning Networks (PBRLNs) play a critical role in engaging primary care practices in research and quality improvement, yet they face shared operational challenges related to sustainability, data use, and capacity. This webinar explores practical strategies to strengthen PBRLNs, drawing on insights from leaders of long-established international practice-based research networks. Through interviews with international network leaders and a national workshop with Canadian PBRLN directors, the session highlights how strong relationships, embedded practice facilitation, stable funding models, and clinic-driven research priorities contribute to long-term success. Participants will learn how international experience can inform collaboration, leadership development, and data-enabled research within Canada’s evolving PBRLN landscape.
